Hyatt Place New York/Midtown-South

The room was comfortable, large enough for 2 or 3 people. The Sofa is a great addition. The water pressure from the shower was also great. We stayed during the summer and their AC units work amazingly. As for breakfast, a great selection from pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns, juices, coffee and bagels and they have a sit down area for you to eat.

I had a room on the 26th floor with a magnificant view. There is also a rooftop terrace with a breathtaking view of the Empire State Building. The room was very clean and unusually large for a New York City hotel. Cosy couch to relax and enjoy the view of the skyline. The daily room cleaning was outstanding with attention to every detail. The breakfast buffet had everything you would expect - from American to Continental breakfast. Some of the hot items are rotated every day, so it does not get boring if you stay a week.

I liked the breakfast, it's convenient with children, it's very well located near the metro and within walking distance of any attraction

The room 1808 was large enough (especially after we moved the leather cube next to the couch, instead of the front) and had almost everything we needed. The room had a great view being on the 18th floor. There was no mold, the room was clean and maintained every day. The room is not noisy at all. They changed our top sheets every day and the bed sheets every 3 days. They cleaned the bathroom every day (toilet and shower doors included) and replaced anything that was missing or even brought extra soaps and toilet paper. The towels were changed so often or new ones brought, that at the end of our stay we ended up with 11 towels of different sizes. The room has a fridge, a coffee machine, an iron and iron table. We did not have to ask for anything. They had it all covered. The front desk staff was very supportive and nice. They accommodated our luggage for the last day, after check-out, until evening, for free. Nothing was lost or misplaced. The breakfast was good enough. It had scrambled eggs, bacon or sausages, grated cheese, boiled eggs, cream cheese, hash browns, carrots and apio celery as veggies, waffles or pancakes or French toast, with a variety of jams, peanut butter and Nutella, a variety of fruits (apples, oranges and bananas), but also fruit salad, yogurt, cereals, porridge, muffins, juices, filter coffee, etc. It was really good and it changed slightly from one day to the other. The elevators worked fine and we didn't wait long to get up and down, and we stayed on the 18th fl. There was no waiting time in the breakfast area to find a table, no long queues and the staff worked relentlessly to clean the tables, sort the dishes and trash, and supply the buffet.

Location is just perfect! You can reach many main attractions just by foot, subway station and busses are available just few steps from the hotel. Staff was very friendly, the room was spacious, a lot of towels which were being changed every day. We got a room with a view on Empire state building at the high floor, despite we booked the regular one. It was an incredible surprise. Totally worth it's price.
